The Cypress Hills Massacre in 1873 was one of the driving factors that led the Canadian Government to send the NWMP on the March West. We’ll learn about the creation of the NWMP, its relationship with early Indigenous Peoples, and the events that led up to the tragic massacre.

All curriculum development and education programming has been done in partnership with Indigenous partners.

These programs are delivered using a trauma-informed approach and includes consultation with the programming team before delivery.
