We are recruiting investigators in training! Is your child a curious problem solver?
Once again this summer, your kids can investigate and solve made-up crimes just like the real detectives at the RCMP Heritage Centre Summer Camps! Our Summer Camps follow the same engaging format, but feature new experiences and activities every year. So, even if your child has attended in the past, each year offers a new experience.
Participants will use their natural inquisitiveness, focus their imaginations, and hone their skills as they learn crime-solving techniques. They will hunt for evidence and use science to put it all together. It’s engaging, hands-on fun that teaches useful skills!
If your child is between age groups, not to worry. Our Programming team is happy to chat and help you decide which camp is the best fit.

Can someone else pick up my child?
At registration, parents will be required to provide the full name, phone number, and relationship of all of those who will be picking up their child up for camp. Alternate pick-up for your child can be arranged by contacting us via email or phone, or upon drop off in the morning. We only permit one primary, and one alternate individual for pick-up on your child’s file. You may change or update your alternate as needed.
Adults not listed, or with missing information on file will not be permitted to take campers home. Photo ID is required for all adults dropping off, and picking up campers at the end of every day.
Can I pick up my child early?
You sure can. When you arrive for drop off in the morning, please let the front desk or camp staff know if you will be picking up early (any time before 4pm).
What are your behaviour policies?
The safety (physical and mental) of campers is our priority. Campers are expected to follow the Centre guidelines and engage with other campers, staff, and visitors positively and appropriately.
We acknowledge that behavioural issues can occur and have implemented the following structure to help ensure the safety of our campers: open communication that encourages dialogue among staff, parents, and children; focusing on rewarding positive behaviours; providing a routine-driven and secure setting; appropriate monitoring and supervision; and thorough training for each camp staff member.
Our entire full-time staff is First Aid/CPR trained. Additionally, all our camp counsellors and camp lead have received certification in HIGH FIVE® – Best Way to Play. HIGH FIVE® builds the knowledge and skills they need to create safe, positive, and engaging environments where children can thrive.
Our staff team will do what we can to ensure issues are dealt with in a respectful and effective way. These standard behaviour management actions may be taken by our staff to help support positive behaviour:
Behaviour that poses a risk to anyone’s safety or wellbeing (including, but not limited to; physical/verbal abuse, bullying, consistent disruptions or disrespect, self-harm, etc.) may result in immediate dismissal or removal from camp at the sole discretion of the RCMP Heritage Centre.
In the event that a camper is being sent home (for behavioural or health reasons), our staff will work with parents/guardians on a plan for a safe return to camp, if possible. Registration fees for children who have been sent home for safety or behavioural reasons are non-refundable.
What should my child bring to camp?
Should my child bring any electronic devices to camp?
Children should not bring electronic devices with them to camp. All electronic devices such as phones, tablets, cameras, or gaming devices should be left at home to avoid loss or damage. We ask that children do not bring collectible/tradable cards, or valuables.
I registered my child, but they can no longer attend. Do I get my money back?
We understand that plans can change, and we want to ensure a smooth process for everyone.
We hope to see you this summer! Secure your spot for 2026 Summer Camps by emailing programs@rcmphc.com.
