Crime Lab Forensics Experience invites visitors to step into the role of an investigator at the RCMP Heritage Centre. Move between the investigator's office and the forensic lab, examining evidence, following clues, and piecing together the details of a true-crime-inspired scenario.

The Case
Your first case: a bank robbery. Dig into fingerprint, hair, and handwriting analysis, along with video and behavioural evidence, tire tracks, and footprints, finding new clues as you go.
Created in collaboration with tourism and creative industry experts, Crime Lab incorporates specialized insider knowledge from RCMP forensic identification specialists to bring an authentic touch to the investigation. It's a new way to explore the Centre, built for hands-on discovery alongside its traditional exhibits.
Experience Details
● Minimum age 12. Visitors ages 12–17 must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for guests ages 18 and up.
● Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon sessions.
● Approximately 60 minutes, with a total visit time of about 90 minutes including intro video and photo opportunity.
● Recommended for groups of 4–6
● Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session and check in at the front desk.

Advance booking is recommended to secure your spot. Walk-ins are accommodated based on availability. No – The Crime Lab is private, and your group will not be paired with other visitors. However, if another small group is interested in booking the experience at the same time, we may be able to combine your groups with the agreement of both parties. If your team doesn’t solve the case before time runs out, the experience is over and your team will be considered unsuccessful. But don’t worry—you can always book the experience again and put your investigative skills to the test another time! Tickets and reservations are refundable up to 24 hours prior to your booking. Tickets and reservations are non-refundable within 24 hours of your booking, except at the discretion of the Centre in cases where unforeseen circumstances prevent participation in the experience. Tickets and reservations are non-transferable. No - To protect the integrity of the experience and ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants, photography, video recording, and the use of cell phones are not permitted during the experience. No - You can exit the room at any time, but you are encouraged to complete the experience prior to exiting the room. No – Hints are not provided. Special exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Centre staff member in charge of your group if you are unable to make any progress. Your game is monitored via cameras with communication with Centre staff accessible through walkie-talkies. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move easily. Accessibility features and requirements are dependent on needs. If you have accessibility needs, please contact the Centre before booking. (Note: No special effect lighting is used in the room.)
