Classroom Depot Tours – starting June 4!
Experience a behind-the-scenes look at the RCMP Training Academy “Depot” Division; the RCMP’s training Academy since 1885.
Your classroom will hop aboard our trolley for a guided tour onto Depot, followed by an activity at the Heritage Centre.
Itinerary:
9:00 am – arrive at Heritage Centre, sign-in, load trolley
9:30 am – trolley departs to Depot
9:30 am – 10:20 am – Trolley tour of Depot to learn about the historic Chapel, the Eternal Flame, Depot training, and the Town of Buffalo
10:30 am – 10:40 am – arrive back at Heritage Centre, unload trolleys
10:40 am – 11:25 am – gather in lobby for hands-on activity in Heritage Centre galleries
11:25 am – classroom departure

Our tour package gives you a seat on the 50-minute guided trolley tour, plus a 40-minute interactive activity at the Heritage Centre.

Know Before you Go
- The RCMP Academy is an active training site and a secure facility. Access is controlled. No photography or filming will be permitted on any part of the tour.
- Adult guests (teachers/chaperones) are required to register including; signing in at the Heritage Centre, providing full name and address, and providing photo ID, which will be kept in a secure place at the RCMP Heritage Centre for the duration of the tour of Depot.
- A list of student names must be provided to participate in the tour on Depot.
- Bags and personal items, including phones, must be stored at the Heritage Centre during the tour of Depot. We have lockers for use and storage of personal items.
- Individuals with mobility challenges or disability are asked to call ahead.
