About the Program:

During the March West, buffalo helped both the Indigenous Plains People and the NWMP survive. We’ll learn about the importance of the buffalo to the Plains Cree, how legends and storytelling were woven into their daily lives, and their relationship with the NWMP.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn about how life was experienced by the Plains Cree.
  • How legends and storytelling was a major part of the daily lives and culture.
  • Learn about the importance of the Bison to the Plains Cree society.
  • Learn about the relationship between the Plains Cree and the NWMP.
