About the Program:
The Seven Sacred Teaching are a message of traditional Indigenous values and hope for the future. The Teaching are universal to most Indigenous Peoples. The traditional concepts of respect and sharing that form the foundation of the Indigenous way of life are built around the teachings. Each teaching honors one of the basic virtues to a full and healthy life. The Teachings include ideologies that all people can appreciate and relate to.
Learning Outcomes:
- The participants will develop an awareness of Indigenous beliefs on humanity and our interconnectedness through storytelling and a group visual art installation.
- Participants will understand how the Teachings relate to their own lives.
- The participants will broaden their perspective and knowledge of Indigenous Peoples.
