The Trial of Louis Riel
Join us this year for a historical production that has captivated audiences for 57 years straight – the Trial of Louis Riel. As the longest-running historical drama in North America, we’re proud to offer this reenactment of Canadian history. Witness the trial of Louis Riel, an advocate for the Indigenous Peoples of Western Canada who faced charges of treason with the Government of Canada. The Trial of Louis Riel was written as a Centennial project in 1967 by John Coulter and is based on the transcripts of the famous trial of Louis Riel in 1885 in Regina. This is an opportunity that cannot be missed. Be part of our mission to preserve and honour all Canadians and experience the captivating drama that has kept audiences coming back for decades.
