For safety reasons, all visits to Depot are now prohibited.  As a result, tours of Depot as well as viewing of Sergeant Major’s parade are suspended indefinitely.


Catch the Sergeant Major’s Parade at RCMP Training Academy “Depot” Division. Watch as the drill staff put Cadets through their paces. The parade includes a roll call and inspection of the troops, accompanied by the Cadet band. The parade takes place daily, Tuesday  to Friday. In order to take in this one-of-a-kind experience, guests must pre-register at the RCMP Heritage Centre Guest Services prior to 11:45am.

Sergeant Major’s Parade Protocol

The cost of the Sergeant Major’s Parade is included with your admission to the RCMP Heritage Centre.

Guests wishing to see the Parade must pre-register at the Guest Services Desk in the RCMP Heritage Centre lobby by 11:45 am. Tours will depart from the RCMP Heritage Centre at 12:00 pm sharp, Tuesday  through Friday.

Identification tags will be issued to all participants. Guests are not allowed to attend the Sergeant Major’s Parade unless accompanied by authorized personnel.

As this is an outdoor event, please dress accordingly. During the winter or in the case of inclement weather, seating is provided in the Drill Hall.

Cameras, cell phones, and water bottles are permitted on “Depot” grounds.

Guests with disabilities, or those who may require additional assistance, should plan to arrive early so that our staff can ensure a spot on one of the Centre’s wheelchair accessible people movers to escort you to the Parade.

Please remember The Sergeant Major’s Parade is a daily activity that forms part of the Cadet Training Program. Any changes to this program or cancellations are strictly at the discretion of the Sergeant Major of “Depot” Division.
