Summer Day Camps
Get ready for two exciting summer adventures at the RCMP Heritage Centre Summer Camps!
Register your children for hands-on learning, games, and fun.
Children will participate in fun, hands-on learning and art activities at the museum. Learn about fingerprinting, cracking a case, and Police Dog Services; participate in fun physical activity and games, and arts and crafts.
Full-day activities from 9 am—4 pm
Ages 6–11

– August 12-15
Camp B – Exploring Canada Coast to Coast
– July and 22-25
– August 19-22
Price: $230 for the first child registered (plus taxes)
$200 for each additional child registered (plus taxes)
The price for our 4-day, action-packed camps comes out to around $8/hour of fun and adventure. Register more than one child for even more savings!
The days include pick-up, drop-off, and supervised lunches, for children ages 6 – 11.
Participants must bring their own lunches and snacks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can someone else pick up my child?
At registration, parents will be required to provide the full name, phone number, and relationship of all of those who will be picking up their child up for camp. Alternate pick-up for your child can be arranged by contacting us via email or phone, or upon drop-off in the morning. We only permit one primary, and one alternate individual for pick-up on your child’s file. You may change or update your alternate as needed.
Adults not listed, or with missing information on file will not be permitted to take campers home. Photo ID is required for all adults dropping off, and picking up campers at the end of every day.
Can I pick up my child early?
You sure can. When you arrive for drop off in the morning, please let the front desk or camp staff know if you will be picking up early (any time before 4 pm).
What are your behaviour policies?
The safety (physical and mental) of campers is our priority. Campers are expected to follow the Centre’s guidelines and engage with other campers, staff, and visitors positively and appropriately. We understand that behavioural issues may, at times, arise. Our staff team will do what we can to ensure issues are dealt with respectfully and effectively. Our staff may take these standard behaviour management actions to help support positive behaviour:
- Verbal warning to child
- Child sitting out of an activity
- Call to parents informing of child’s behaviour
Behaviour that poses a risk to anyone’s safety or wellbeing (including, but not limited to; physical/verbal abuse, bullying, consistent disruptions or disrespect, self-harm, etc.) may result in immediate dismissal or removal from camp at the sole discretion of the RCMP Heritage Centre.
In the event that a camper is being sent home (for behavioural or health reasons), our staff will work with parents/guardians on a plan for a safe return to camp, if possible. Registration fees for children who have been sent home for safety or behavioural reasons are non-refundable.
What should my child bring to camp?
- We ask that you send your child prepared for the day’s weather. The camp will include some time outdoors when weather permits.
- The Centre will provide ‘painting shirts’ (large t-shirts to wear over clothes during crafts).
- You may wish to send with your child with sunscreen, bug repellant and a hat.
- Special clothing requests will be made clear to parents ahead of time.
- Lunch and meals are not provided by the camp. Please send your child to camp with a lunch and two snacks for breaks that are peanut-free (contain no peanut or peanut butter products). Please be aware that there is no access to microwaves to reheat food.
- Please send your child with a refillable water bottle with their name on it, or some clear indicator that will help the child remember it belongs to them.
Should my child bring any electronic devices to camp?
Children should not bring electronic devices to camp. All electronic devices, such as phones, tablets, cameras, or gaming devices, should be left at home to avoid loss or damage. We ask that children do not bring collectible/tradable cards or valuables.
