K9 Kadets
The RCMP Heritage Centre’s resident dog Indi is throwing a party and you’re invited!
K9 Kadets is an educational family event that celebrates all things dogs. Dogs have played a key role in policing in Canada since the late 1890’s. Today, there are more than 150 RCMP Police Dog Service teams across the country. They are an important part of frontline policing across Canada.
The event includes dog-themed activities, crafts, and presentations; movies that celebrate police dogs, as well as visits from working dogs, and adoptable dogs from our community. The RCMP’s Police Dog Services will make a presentation about Police Service Dogs. Lucky Paws Dog Rescue will talk about the great rescue work happening in our community and the importance of dog adoption. There will also be a special story time featuring our favorite Golden Retriever, Hudson, from the children’s book Hudson Goes to Depot by Sean McCabe. Finally, Indi herself will be giving a presentation to the kids!
Join us at the RCMP Heritage Center Sunday, September 19, 2021 for a day of fun and a shared love of our four-legged friends!
Regular admission applies.
